The Results Are Coming!
The Statewide and Regional Economic Impact Study of the Arts and Culture will be unveiled at two events:

The results of a statewide and regional economic impact study conducted by Minnesota Citizens for the Arts (MCA), and the Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council (SMAHC) will be revealed at Arts Advocacy Day, March 9, 2006, at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. The project, which will produce eleven regional economic impact studies as well as a statewide study, measures the economic impact of arts and culture organizations and audiences both locally and across Minnesota. Many local people and arts organizations were involved in collecting the data for this study, so we are very interested in hearing the results. The study was funded by the Forum of Regional Arts Councils of Minnesota with financial support from the McKnight Foundation.

Join us! Local arts advocates will be going to St. Paul both to be the first to hear the results and also to share them with our legislators at Arts Advocacy Day. You can sign up to be a part of the action on MCA’s website at www.mtn.org/mca or contact them at mca@mtn.org.  Or contact SMAHC at smahcinfo@iw.net or call us at 800-622-5284 and we’ll sign you up.  Let the SMAHC staff know if you’re interested in carpooling to the Capitol.

You are also invited to join us for a special Regional Meeting where the results of our local study will be unveiled and discussed in detail. That meeting will be held in March or April.  Date and location for the regional meeting have not been set but will be posted on the SMAHC website www.smahc.org as soon as the information is available.

ARTS ADVOCACY DAY is March 9, 2006.  Join us at the Capital!
