Margaret Hurlbut Vosburgh of Worthington was elected to serve as the Nobles County representative to serve a three-year term. Margaret is a fiber artist and manager of Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center. She has served as a grant review panelist for SMAHC and the MN State Arts Board and has served on the board of the Minnesota Citizens for the Arts. She has experience as a grant writer, fundraiser, and project budget manager.
Louise Mack of New London was elected to serve as the Kandiyohi County representative to serve a two-year term. Mack is an active member of the Crow River Players in New London, serving as past president and production manager of many productions. She has served as a SMAHC grant review panelist and was the SMAHC 2005 Prairie Disciple Award recipient for outstanding arts advocacy. She has years of management experience in both the business and non-profit sector.
Pat Krebs of Appleton was elected to serve as the Swift County representative to serve a three-year term. Krebs has experience as a board member and community volunteer. She has served on the Appleton Cultural Affairs Committee board and has been a Swift County Band member since its inception, currently serving as president of that organization. Krebs enjoys photography as a hobby.
Bronwyn Jones of Pipestone was elected to serve as the Pipestone County representative to serve a one-year term. Jones has been actively involved with the performing arts in the Pipestone area for many years. She is a board member of the Pipestone Performing Arts Center and has been past president of the Opland Singers. Jones performs as a singer/soloist with the Opland Singers and is an active member of her church choir. She has been involved in theater at the high school, college and community level throughout her life.
Bruce Boldt of Windom was elected to serve as the Cottonwood County representative to serve a one-year term. Bruce is a songwriter, singer and musician. He is the president and founder of the Prairie Wind Folk Music and Blue Grass Association.
The staff and board of the SW MN Arts & Humanities Council are looking forward to working with these talented new additions to the board of directors. SMAHC is also pleased to announce the following board members that have been re-elected to 3 year terms: Brent Olson, Big Stone County, Kurt Schulz, McLeod County, and Ramona Larson, Redwood County.
We say goodbye and thank you to board members Margaret Erickson of Worthington, Richard Bryan of Pipestone, Janet Timmerman of Lake Wilson and Ron Raynes of Phoenix (formerly of Marshall). These four people have contributed their expertise and countless hours to SMAHC. We will truly miss them on the SMAHC board.
