Retiring SMAHC Board Members

SMAHC bids a fond farewell to 3 board members who will be retiring at the end of December.

Luanne Fondell has been on the SMAHC board for 8½  years representing Lac qui Parle County.  She was elected in June, 1999 to a partial term and then re-elected to two consecutive 3-year terms.  Luanne has served as president of the board twice during her tenure.  Her expertise and leadership will be missed at SMAHC.  She will continue her duties as the Performing Arts Director of the Dawson-Boyd Arts Association.

Chuck Brown has served on the SMAHC board for four years representing Renville County.  Chuck has served on the Executive Committee as well as several other committees during his tenure as a board member.  Prior to his coming to the board, he served as a panelist on the Individual Artist Grant Review Panel.  Chuck is a writer having published numerous short stories and his first novel, Barn Dance.  He will continue to pursue his writing and he continues his work on the Olivia City Council.  He has been a great asset to the SMAHC board.

Danielle Rodgers has served a 3 year term representing Meeker County.  Danielle brought much expertise to the SMAHC board through her extensive experience as a board member of many nonprofit organizations.  She has in the past been an art teacher and today works for Brodin Studios in Litchfield. Her love and passion for the arts will be missed here at SMAHC.

We thank them for their dedicated service to SMAHC and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
