Art Project Grants and Local Arts Organization Development Grants
The Board of Directors of SMAHC voted to award a total of $83,882 to local arts organizations under the Art Project Grant Program and the Local Arts Organization Development Grant Program. The Arts Project Grant Program provides area organizations with up to $4500 in matching funds to produce or present high quality arts events. The Local Arts Organization Development Grant Program provides up to $4000 in matching funds to local arts organizations to strengthen their capacity to provide quality arts activities. A total of $62,781 was awarded under the Art Project program and a total of $21,101 was awarded under the Local Arts Organization Development program.
Art Project Grants
? ARThouse, New London, was awarded $1,530 for the 2010 ARThouse Exhibition Season.
? Willmar Community Theatre was awarded $4,500 for the 2010 Summer Season Productions.
? Cultural Awareness Organization, Worthington, was awarded $3,750 for the 2010 International Festival.
? Meander Artists, Montevideo, was awarded $4,500 for the Meander 2010, Upper MN River Crawl.
? Friends of the Orchestra, Marshall, was awarded $4,500 for SMO's 40th Anniversary, Spring 2010 Concert.
? Prairie Arts Chorale, Southern Minnesota, was awarded $1,323 for the Concert Series "Island Magic".

was awarded $4,500 for the 2010-2011 Visual Exhibit Program.

Dawson Boyd Arts Association
was awarded $4,500 for “Neil & Leandra” and “The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe”.
? Willmar Area Arts Council was awarded $4,500 for the 2010 Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! festival.
? Willmar Area Arts Council was awarded $2,400 for the 2010 Studio Hop.
? Minnesota Garlic Festival, Hutchinson, was awarded $2,605 for the Minnesota Garlic Festival.
? Appleton 52 Wing Restoration Committee was awarded $2,650 for the 2010 Summer Concert Series.
? Marshall Area Stage Company was awarded $4,473 for the 2010 Summer Musical "Hello Dolly".
? The City of Spicer was awarded $2,000 for the Public Art Project "Fish Gone Wild".
? Walnut Grove Community Club was awarded $3,150 for the 2010 Music & Art Family Festival.
? Rock County Fine Arts Association, Luverne, was awarded $3,150 for the Art Rocks Fine Arts Festival.
? Pipestone Performing Arts Center was awarded $2,800 for the World of Music with Todd Green.
? Crow River Players, New London, was awarded $2,800 for the Production "I Do! I Do!".
? Calumet Players, Pipestone, was awarded $3,150 for the Musical "The Music Man".
Local Arts Organization Development Grants
? RiverSong, Hutchinson, was awarded $3,690 for funds for a safety & efficiency improvement project.
? Hutchinson Center for the Arts was awarded $4,000 for start-up of the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.
? Dawson Boyd Arts Association was awarded $4,000 for strategic planning.
? Dassel Leikarring was awarded $769 for the purchase a portable sound system.
? Big Stone Arts Council, Ortonville, was awarded $1,328 to hire a consultant regarding the Cultural Center Initiative.
? Prairie Dance Alliance, Marshall, was awarded $2,498 for the property development project.
? Friends of the Auditorium, Worthington, was awarded $2,800 for the purchase a Sharp color digital copier.
? Marshall Area Fine Arts Council was awarded $2,016 to initiate an Art Education Program.
