New grant deadlines for Fiscal Year 2011 will be posted on the SMAHC website in mid-June. Workshop dates for the various grant rounds will also be posted. Check them out at www.smahc.org.

We have started using the services of Constant Contact: You, as a SMAHC supporter, artist, organization representative, or advocate can now choose which emails you want to receive from SMAHC. You simply need to set your preferences. You can do this in a couple of ways. #1 - When you receive an email from us, go to the bottom of the email and click on the link “Update Profile/Email Address.” Put in your email address. You will then receive an email called “Update your Profile.” Simply open the email and click on the link “Update your Profile.” You then can choose the categories for which you want to receive emails. Click as many boxes as you want. You also unsubscribe to any (or all) of the categories. #2 - The other way to update your profile is to go to the SMAHC webpage (www.smahc.org) and click on the box “Sign Up for SMAHC Email Updates.” Then type in your email address (you have to do this twice to confirm it is the correct address). Once again, you will receive an email called “Update your Profile.” Open the email and click on the link “Update your Profile.” You then can choose the categories for which you want to receive emails. Click as many boxes as you want. You also unsubscribe to any (or all) of the categories. This is a great way for you to stay inform as to SMAHC activities and to receive just the emails that are pertinent to you.

We are continuing to develop our Facebook page: To view our Facebook page, you can go to the SMAHC website (www.smahc.org) and click on the SMAHC Facebook Page link or you can Google “Facebook SMAHC” or you can search right in Facebook for Southwest Minnesota Arts and Humanities Council. Become a fan of the page (although Facebook changed the “Become a Fan” function to “People Like This”) - look for the “Like” link. We will be posting more announcements and SMAHC activities on Facebook. Check us out - stay informed!

You can now renew your membership or donate to SMAHC online through the GiveMN/Razoo website. To participate, go the SMAHC homepage (www.smahc.org) and click on the Donate Now button on the left side. Click on the amount you want to contribute or click on Other and put in the amount. Click on the “Donate” button. You can add a designation - click on that box and type in “Membership.” Fill in the form with the credit card information and click on “Donate Now” at the bottom of the screen. That’s all there is to it. Thanks for supporting SMAHC!
