Art Exhibit Opens at the Cottonwood County Historical Society

The Cottonwood County Historical Society invites you to attend the opening reception of the exhibit Midwestern Heart  by local artist Aaron Horkey on Sunday,  September 12 from 2-4 p.m. in the Remick Gallery. This exhibit features 60 works of art and includes an overview of printed matter and selected drawings from 2003-2010. Light refreshments will be served.  Free admission.

Aaron returns to the Remick Gallery with his second exhibit.  His first show was in 2003 where he showcased his skate board designs.  This time he will focus on his screen prints and ink drawings.  In the last seven years he has exhibited his work in Minneapolis, Portland, Los Angeles, New York, Spain and Taipei.

This exhibit will run from September 12 – November 20, 2010.   Come and meet the artist!

The Cottonwood County Historical Society, located at 812 Fourth Avenue in Windom, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  For more information contact the museum at 831-1134.  The exhibit is sponsored by the Robert & Helen Remick Charitable Foundation Trust.
