MN Fringe Festival 2012

Minnesota Fringe, the Midwest’s largest performing arts festival, cordially invites one and all to consider being a part of this year's festival, August 2-12, 2012 in Minneapolis-St. Paul.  Performances of comedy, drama, musical theater, dance, opera, improv, shows for kids, and much more are selected by random lottery (167 shows participated last year).  The application fee is $25, and the producing fee ranges from $300 to $450, depending on venue size, with a limited number of fee deferments for qualified applicants. For that money, producers get a tremendous amount of support to put on a show, plus 65% of their box office receipts.  It's a way to make money, get exposure to Twin Cities audiences, press, and potential future artistic connections, all while learning a lot about producing.  For groups coming from outside the Twin Cities metro area, Fringe does its best to hook them up with free housing.  More information and the 2012 application is available at http://www.fringefestival.org/apply/. The application deadline is 5:00 pm on January 31, 2012 and lottery selections will be made on February 13.  If you have any questions, contact robin@fringefestival.org.
